São Paulo, April 2019 – Messer Group and CVC Capital Partners announce the completion of the acquisition of Linde plc’s business in the Americas, including assets in the United States, Brazil, Chile, Colombia and Canada. With the operation, Linde Gases in Brazil underwent a process of rebranding, becoming Messer Gases.
In the Americas, Messer Gases operates in more than 70 production facilities with approximately 5,400 employees in five countries. With this, the company becomes one of the leading gas companies in the Americas, with substantial scale and deep industry expertise. In Brazil, Messer has more than 40 Units, and operates in various industrial segments such as food and beverages, chemical processes, paper, pulp, metals, electronics, welding and combustion. Besides the industrial segment, it also acts strongly in the medical and specialty gases segment.
